I am now on the Drug Information Service or DIS. This means i can access all prescriptions at all pharmacies from my office. So, i will always know exactly what you are being prescribed.

More importantly, i can write prescriptions directly into the system so that there will be much less chance of errors. I can type an e-prescription directly into the site. It can be filled at any pharmacy, and there is no problem with people reading my writing, transcribing what i called in to the drug store incorrectly, losing a prescription, and not knowing what other doctors are prescribing.

For now, i am mostly using the system for refills.

So, when you go to the pharmacy, you may have to tell them that i wrote the prescription as an e-script through the DIS system until they are used to it.
